As a certified instructor with the Romana´s Pilates® Diploma, Hugo Montoya has completed a much more rigorous and comprehensive training programme than that offered by other organisations. He has followed an intensive training at the Teacher Training School and has completed several theoretical, oral and practical exams to achieve a high quality of the teaching, preserving the integrity of the authentic Pilates Method. He trained for two years under the tutoring of Javier Pérez Pont, a worldwide reference on the Pilates Method and the only representative of Romana’s Pilates in Spain.

What should I wear to Pilates class?
To take Pilates classes, you only need comfortable sportswear that allows you to move freely, but that is not excessively loose. The most common attire is a T-shirt and shorts or leggings, along with socks. It is important that the instructor can see your body position clearly in order to correct your posture and ensure that the exercises are performed safely and effectively.
Are classes individual or group classes?
At Original Pilates Barcelona, all classes are one-on-one. This allows for completely personalized attention, adapting each exercise to your needs, level, and goals. Sessions are always by appointment and last a maximum of 55 minutes, ensuring a complete and high-quality workout in every class.
Can I reserve a specific day and time for my classes?
How much does each class cost?
How many classes should I take per week?
It is best to take two classes per week, as this allows you to notice the benefits of Pilates in terms of strength, mobility, and body control sooner. However, even with just one class per week, it is possible to start feeling gradual improvements and maintain long-term progress.
Can I do Pilates if I have never done sport before or haven't done any for a long time?
I am an older adult; can I practice Pilates?
Can I practise other sports at the same time?
I have a herniated disc/knee ligament problems. Can I do Pilates? Will it help improve the pain?
How many sessions do I need to feel better?
The benefits of Pilates appear gradually, class by class. Many people begin to notice positive changes in their body, posture, and overall well-being after about ten sessions. Consistency is key to consolidating results and maintaining long-term improvements.
